Author's Bio

Born in a remote village of Birbhum, West Bengal, Bhaskar was raised by devoted parents, both government school teachers – his father a celebrated Bengali poet and his mother an accomplished classical singer. Inspired by patriotism, military history and his father's dream of seeing a son serve the nation, he joined the Indian Army at seventeen as a combat soldier in Army Air Defence, becoming the first-generation soldier of his family. During his distinguished 21-year military career, he served with elite formations, including Air Defence Regiments, Rashtriya Rifles, Army Headquarters, Operational Commands and the prestigious National Defence College, New Delhi. His exceptional professionalism earned him the Army Commander's Commendation Card, Commandant's Appreciation, seven Service Medals and numerous other commendations, culminating in an official record of “Exemplary” character. A lifelong student and passionate writer, Bhaskar has researched extensively for his works and has also authored Bengali poetry. His journey reflects discipline, devotion, scholarship and an unwavering passion for India's cultural glory, the valour and gallantry of its historical heroes, and the enduring legacy of its rich civilisation.
